Albaugh, Thomas sworn-in to continue service as City Councilors following May election

BUCKHANNON, WV: At Buckhannon City Hall on Thursday, Mayor David McCauley led Mary Albaugh and David Thomas in the oath of office as City Councilors, continuing their service through 2022. Collectively, Albaugh and Thomas have eighteen years of experience with the City, serving four and fourteen years respectively. Albaugh also served as City Recorder from February to June of 2010. Albaugh was first elected to City Council in 2014. Thomas was first elected in 2004, and this begins his fifth term of service on Buckhannon City Council.

Five councilors form the Buckhannon City Council, along with the Mayor and Recorder. Currently, the Buckhannon City Council includes Mary Albaugh, Pam Cuppari, C.J. Rylands, Robbie Skinner, and Dave Thomas. Mayor David McCauley and City Recorder Colin Reger complete the governing body. City Council is responsible for directing the operation of the City of Buckhannon.
