May 8, 20261, BUCKHANNON, WV – ART26201 hosted a special artists’ reception last evening for the opening of the landscape exhibition by the Buckhannon Upshur Camera Club in the M.I.B. GALLERY at the Colonial Theatre.

Buckhannon Upshur Camera Club photographers featured in the exhibition are Charmagne Ayotte, Karl Boone, Sharon Boone, Vickie Clutter, Kilsong Cox, Kathy Gregg, Stephen Hinzman, Gary McCoy, Sandra Miller, Steven Minardi, and Al Tucker.

This fine art exhibition features landscape photographs taken across West Virginia, and admission is free and open to the public.

“The Buckhannon Upshur Camera Club is both pleased and honored to be participating in an exhibit at the beautiful M.I.B. Gallery in May. Many of our members enjoy the great outdoors with a camera in hand,” said Buckhannon Upshur Camera Club President Anthony Ovies. “We hope the viewers can travel with us through our photography and see a little piece of West Virginia through our eyes. We are so thankful to ART26201 for their support and assistance in putting this show together,” Ovies continued.

“Having grown up in West Virginia, it’s exciting to see so many familiar places captured in such beautiful images by members of the Buckhannon Upshur Camera Club,” said ART26201’s Director of Marketing Carrie Perry. “We’re pleased to host this exhibition concurrently with this year’s Strawberry Festival.”

In addition to the opening event on May 7, the M.I.B. GALLERY at the Colonial Theatre will be open from 4-8 p.m. on May 8, 21, 22, 28, & 29. The gallery will also be open for special extended hours during Strawberry Festival from 10 a.m.- 8 p.m. on May 14-15.

Significant financial assistance for the Colonial Theatre Rehabilitation project has been provided by the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History; ART26201; and Buckhannon Community Theatre.
