Buckhannon Fire Department and the WV Peer Support Group to Present PTSD Event, Saturday, October 4th

BUCKHANNON, WV: Join First Responders for this critical event, “PTSD911 Documentary and Panel Discussion”.  Presented by the WV Peer Support Group (WV PSG) and the Buckhannon Fire Department (BFD), the event is hosted by West Virginia Wesleyan College and sponsored by Community Care of West Virginia, as well as EMS & Law Enforcement CEUs.

Behind every siren is a story. This documentary takes you beyond the uniform to witness the courage and vulnerability of a firefighter, police officer, and 9-1-1 dispatcher as they share their lived experiences with trauma. Championing mental wellness and health, the film is both eye-opening and inspiring.  Don’t miss the exclusive panel discussion with Director Conrad Weaver. You’ll have the chance to ask questions and join the conversation on how we can better support those who serve our communities. Get to meet members of the WV Peer Support Group.

The event is this Saturday, October 4, 2025, at West Virginia Wesleyan College’s Virginia Thomas Law Center for the Performing Arts, located at 52-62 College Avenue, Buckhannon, WV. Cost: FREE. Start: 6:00 P.M. Light Snacks and refreshments – provided by Community Care of WV Free Onsite Child Care provided by WVWC Students.
