Buckhannon Police Department officers receive pins for promotion to corporal

BUCKHANNON, WV: During Thursday’s City Council meeting, Buckhannon Police Department officers Marshall O’Connor and Josh Wilson received pins recognizing their promotion to the rank of corporal. The officers recently passed promotional testing to achieve this rank. Both O’Connor and Wilson have been with the Buckhannon Police Department since 2013.

Buckhannon Police Chief Matt Gregory commended the officers for their hard work and dedication to the department and congratulated them on the new rank.

The Buckhannon Police Department employs eleven full-time officers, one part-time officer, and an administrative assistant. The department is responsible for community safety, crime prevention, and apprehension of offenders. The Buckhannon Police Department is currently seeking national accreditation through the CALEA program, which ensures compliance with national regulations and best practices in policing and crime reduction.
