City Announces Street Sweeping Schedule
BUCKHANNON, WV: Our street‑sweeping schedule is listed below.
Residents,
To help our crews keep your neighborhood clean, we encourage you to make it a habit to move your vehicles off the street before your scheduled day. A little preparation goes a long way in helping the sweeper do a thorough job.
From time to time, weather, emergencies, holidays, or equipment issues may delay service. If that happens, your street will be swept on its next regular sweeping day.

1ST MONDAY OF EVERY MONTH: FRANKLIN, MEADOW, MAPLE, GREEN, HENRY, PINNELL, AND W. LINCOLN AREA
2ND MONDAY OF EVERY MONTH: NORTH END AND ALL STREETS INTERSECTING ISLAND AVE.

1ST WEDNESDAY EACH MONTH: BOGGESS, GUM, PARK, KEPNER MYRNA, CHESTNUT
2ND WEDNESDAY EACH MONTH: FLORIDA STREET AND MARION STREET
3RD WEDNESDAY EACH MONTH: E. LINCOLN, THIRD AVE., CENTRAL, ARNOLD, HART, VICTORIA, SMITHFIELD, ELIZABETH, ELM, MADISON
4TH WEDNESDAY EACH MONTH: POCAHONTAS, CAMDEN, RANDOLPH, WOOD, RAILROAD AVE., AND MADISON

1ST THURSDAY EACH MONTH: LEONARD ST, REGER AVE. AND ALL THE STREETS IN THAT AREA
2ND THURSDAY EACH MONTH: E. MAIN, SEDGEWICK, MEADE, LUMBER, LIGHTBURN, LATHAM AND FLORENCE
3RD THURSDAY EACH MONTH: BARBOUR, FAYETTE, TUCKER AND POCAHONTAS
4TH THURSDAY EACH MONTH: OHIO, MONONGALIA, TAYLOR, PRESTON, RITCHIE, BROOKE AND BRAXTON
NOTES
NO SCHEDULED WORK FOR THE SWEEPER ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
SWEEPER WILL WORK MIDNIGHT TO 8:00AM, AS NEEDED– SWEEPING THE DOWNTOWN AREA, COLLEGE AVENUE, AND KANAWHA STREET.
In addition to sweeping the downtown area, the Municipal Parking lots and City Hall lot will be swept on the nighttime schedule.
