City of Buckhannon Accepting Applications for the Position of a Full-Time Pipe Layer/Laborer

BUCKHANNON, WV: The City of Buckhannon Sanitary Department is accepting applications until March 13, 2026, for the position of full‑time Pipe Layer/Laborer.

This position includes health insurance and participation in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS).

Minimum Requirements – Applicants must:

Be 18 years of age or older
Possess a valid WV Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Be in good physical condition, including the ability to lift 50–100 lbs. regularly
Be willing to work in confined spaces and in inclement weather

Eligible candidates will be required to undergo a background check and drug test.

Compensation – Starting hourly rate: $15.00 per hour, dependent on education, skills, and qualifications.
