Here’s How To Apply For The Open Seat On City Council

BUCKHANNON, WV: If you’re interested in filling the open seat on City Council, City Hall is accepting applications through this upcoming weekend. If you’re planning on applying in person, please do so before 4:30 Friday afternoon, October 25th. If you’re placing your application in the mail, it must be post-marked by Saturday, October 26th. You may also email applications to Teresa Summers at teresa.summers@buckhannonwv.org.

Applications should include the following information:

1) A letter expressing your interest the position, and why you believe you’d be ideally suited for the job.
2) Professional resume
3) Professional references
4) Ideas you have that will benefit our city’s future.

Once received, current City Council members will review the applications, and set up a time to interview candidates. To be fully considered, you must be registered to vote, and hold a permanent residence within Buckhannon city limits.
