October 15, 2020
BUCKHANNON, WV: Thursday, the Buckhannon City Council approved the optional participation in Trick-Or-Treat in the city limits from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2020. Participating residents are encouraged to follow the Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines for Halloween and Trick-or-Treat activities.
In addition, the Upshur County Schools and Upshur County Family Resource Network and partnering organizations will be hosting a drive-through Trunk-Or-Treat at the Buckhannon-Upshur High School parking lot loop. The event will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, and attendees are encouraged to dress up and wear a mask. Organizations that wish to pass out treats should email Lori Ulderich Harvey at upshurfrn@yahoo.com (or call 304-473-1051) or Jewel Fisher at 304-472-4466.
Remember, participation in Trick-Or-Treat or Trunk-Or-Treat is, as always, completely optional. A private celebration with your family can be just as fun!
No matter how you celebrate, we wish all residents a fun, safe, and responsible Halloween.
