Presidents’ Day – All city offices and the Transfer Station (on Mudlick Road) will be closed on Monday, February 20, 2023, to observe Presidents’ Day.  Waste Collection (garbage pickup) will run its normal route.

BU Emergency Services Study – The City of Buckhannon and the Upshur County Commission have partnered with one another to conduct a strategic planning study of the delivery of emergency services throughout the city and the unincorporated areas of the county. We need your help!

Our residents and businesses benefit the most from the services provided by our emergency agencies. We want to know how you think we are doing in providing those services and where you think we are facing challenges. We also want to know if you think there is anything specific we can do to improve our emergency services to you.

The survey is very short, and it should only take a few minutes to complete.
