*WINTER STORM WARNING* For December 18 – 19, 2023
BUCKHANNON, WV: The National Weather Service office in Charleston has issued a *WINTER STORM WARNING* from 1 PM Monday, December 18 through 10 AM Tuesday, December 19 for all of Upshur County including the City of Buckhannon. Eastern and southeastern portions of our county could see 8+ inches of snow, while the remainder of the county could expect to see 3-6 inches.
Monday morning rain will transition to snow as temperatures continue to fall through the afternoon. Gusty winds are expected in the higher elevations to the East and southeast making travel very difficult. Snow and wind continue Monday night before gradually tapering off by Tuesday afternoon.
