City Services Update for Monday, January 6, 2025

BUCKHANNON, WV: Meadowfill Landfill has notified the City of Buckhannon Waste Department that its Bridgeport facility is closed today. This means we have nowhere to transport our collections; therefore, the Buckhannon Transfer Station will be closed today, and there will be no waste collection.  Waste customers should leave their waste out for collection tomorrow, weather permitting.  The Waste Department plans to follow the normal regular waste pickup schedule for the remainder of the week.

City Hall is open with limited staffing. Please be patient if you call or visit today, as we will focus on essential services only.

At this time, all other City Departments are operating as usual.
