WV Strawberry Festival Parking & Parade Impacts (May 11–19, 2026)

BUCKHANNON, WV: The West Virginia Strawberry Festival is here, and we want to ensure you have the information you need to plan ahead. Several parking areas and streets will be temporarily restricted to support festival activities, parade staging, and emergency access. We appreciate your patience as our community welcomes thousands of visitors to downtown Buckhannon.

Temporary No Parking Areas – May 11–19
• Lot 6 – Madison Street
• Old Bank Lot – Between Madison and Lincoln Streets
• Lot 7 – Across from Post Office / Jawbone Park
• Lot 2 – Spring Street, across from Post Office

Temporary No Parking on E. Lincoln Street – May 11–18
• No on-street parking
• One-way traffic from S. Florida St → S. Kanawha St
• Used for emergency access; vehicles will be towed


Temporary No Parking Area – May 15-16
• Lot 5 – Public Safety Complex


Where You Can Park
• Lot 1 – S. Kanawha St (across from Kanawha Lounge)
• Lot 3 – North Spring Street
• Two-hour parking on Main Street and side streets off Main Street except during parades*/special events


*Parade/Event Related No Parking (Main Street)
Vehicles parked on the parade route during these times will be towed.
• Junior Royalty Parade – Thursday, May 14 • 5–8 PM
• Firemen’s Parade, Party Gras, and Concert – Friday, May 15 • 5 PM–12 AM
• Grand Feature Parade and Concert – Saturday, May 16 • 8 AM–12 AM
• Strawberry Festival Car Show – Sunday, May 17 • 10 AM–4 PM


Parade Staging & Traffic Notes – See Map
• Blue areas – Parade staging; no traffic permitted
• Pink route – Parade route; no parking, towing enforced
• Orange – Detour route
• Green – Firemen’s Parade staging only
