Key Flood‑Recovery Updates for Buckhannon & Upshur County Residents

BUCKHANNON, WV: City, County, and State partners continued coordinated recovery operations today with key updates on distribution, donations, volunteer support, and debris removal.

Distribution Center — Final Operating Days (WVWC Auxiliary Gym)

Saturday: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Sunday: 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. (final public access)
Remaining inventory will be palletized and moved to:
- Lewis County Distribution Center (Market Place Plaza), accepting all remaining supplies and serving Upshur residents

Community Organizations

Churches, VFDs, community centers, and nonprofits are encouraged to pick up supplies Saturday and Sunday.
Facilities with storage but no distribution capability may still stage materials for later use.

Debris Removal

Place flood‑damaged debris at the curb as soon as possible.
Do not block roads, sidewalks, or drainage paths.
Guard units will continue systematic pickup throughout the city and county
