Key Flood‑Recovery Updates for Buckhannon & Upshur County Residents
BUCKHANNON, WV: City, County, and State partners continued coordinated recovery operations today with key updates on distribution, donations, volunteer support, and debris removal.
Distribution Center — Final Operating Days (WVWC Auxiliary Gym)
- Saturday: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. (final public access)
- Remaining inventory will be palletized and moved to:
- Lewis County Distribution Center (Market Place Plaza), accepting all remaining supplies and serving Upshur residents
Community Organizations
- Churches, VFDs, community centers, and nonprofits are encouraged to pick up supplies Saturday and Sunday.
- Facilities with storage but no distribution capability may still stage materials for later use.

Debris Removal
- Place flood‑damaged debris at the curb as soon as possible.
- Do not block roads, sidewalks, or drainage paths.
- Guard units will continue systematic pickup throughout the city and county

- Casework for residents with major or destroyed damage
- Saturday: 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
