B-UHS Homecoming Parade Today – Wednesday, September 29th!
September 29, 2021, BUCKHANNON, WV: The Buckhannon-Upshur High School homecoming parade will begin at 6:00 p.m. today, Wednesday, September 29, 2021, in downtown Buckhannon. Line-up will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the Charles W. Gibson Library at 105 E. Main Street. Please come listen to the band and cheer on our high school students and athletes.
E. Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from the library to the courthouse and intersection with Route 20, beginning at 5:45 p.m. Route 20 will remain open. Madison, South Spring Street, and the block of S. Florida between Main St. and Madison will also be closed to vehicle traffic during the parade.
The parade route follows Main Street, left on Kanawha, left on Madison, and culminates in Jawbone Park with additional performances in the park.
The Buckhannon Police Department and Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) will lead the parade and staff the barricaded intersections.
