Beware of false caller claiming to be City billing department; Call City Hall directly if you have any doubt about your billing status

BUCKHANNON, WV:  We have received several calls from customers reporting that a number identified as City Hall has called them and asked for credit card information. The City Utilities Department will never call a residence and ask for this information; however, they may call and leave a message indicating that a bill is overdue. To inquire about your billing status or to pay a bill, you may call (304) 472-1430. To pay your bill online, go to https://buckhannonwv.org/pay-utility-bills/. To pay via phone directly, call 1-866-933-4026 for the automated billing system.
