Buckhannon Public Safety Complex To Alter Public Access Temporarily For Upgrades

BUCKHANNON, WV:  The Buckhannon Public Safety Complex, which houses both the Buckhannon Fire Department and the Buckhannon Police Department, will be closed to the public on Monday, November 6, 2023, from 7:00 AM until Tuesday, November 7, 2023, 12:00 PM to allow for the installation of an emergency power generator, an automatic transfer switch and the associated utility electric power switchover required for this type of work.

During this time, the Fire Department staff and operations will remain located at the Public Safety Complex while the Police Department will temporarily relocate staff and operations to City Hall. The days and times of closure are subject to change depending on the weather and/or the utility company’s availability.  If a rescheduling of the construction activities is required, the information will be provided as soon as it is available.
