Buckhannon Recognizes Memorial Day, Monday May 27th

BUCKHANNON, WV: The City of Buckhannon will recognize Memorial Day this Monday, May 27th. Along with the closure of all city offices, the Transfer Office will be closed and there will be no waste pickup. If your normal waste collection falls on or after a holiday, it will be delayed by one day.

Buckhannon Mayor Robbie Skinner will speak at the annual Memorial Day Service, which will be held on Monday, May 27, at 1 p.m., at the Heavner Cemetery, located at 503 Hall Road, Buckhannon, WV 26201. The service, which honors the women and men who lost their lives while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, will feature the Upshur County Honor Guard, representatives from VFW Post 3663 and American Legion Post 7.
