City Monitors Flooding in Our Area

May 7, 2022, BUCKHANNON, WV: The Buckhannon Street Department has begun placing barricades in flood-prone areas. City Engineer Jay Hollen has been monitoring the rising of the Buckhannon River, as well as creekside neighborhoods throughout the City. We are also receiving updates from the Upshur County Office of Emergency Management on a regular basis. The City of Buckhannon urges all to use caution while driving, and to watch for detours posted. Please do not drive through high waters on our streets. Thank you!
