The free disposal days at the transfer station are April 7 and 21 from 7:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. for City residents, and April 14 and 28 from 7:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. for County residents. Each paying customer/household is limited to two pick-up truckloads for disposal. Please bring photo identification and a recent utility bill. Appliances with Freon and CRT televisions are excluded from the clean-up activities. While tires are excluded from this event, you may dispose of tires via bulky goods pick-up (must call City Hall or use the online citizen engagement tool to request pick-up) or during the annual free tire disposal day at the transfer station scheduled for June 2, 2018 (10 tire limit, must be resident of Upshur County).  For questions regarding the waste collection events, please call (304) 472-4443.
