Notice Of Appeal To The Zoning Board Of Appeals

May 18, 2021, BUCKHANNON, WV: Notice is hereby given that Debra Hinchman has filed with the Zoning Board of Appeals an appeal for placement of a 12’x16’ Storage Building located at 178A Camden Avenue in the City of Buckhannon. She has been denied a permit, since the application fails to meet Zoning Ordinance 244, Section 502C-5c which states in part, “Accessory uses to the rear of principal structure,” and Section 502C-5a which states in part, “Side yards requirement- Twenty feet (20’) total; Eight feet (8’) minimum side. Any lot platted prior to the enactment of these Standards which is less than sixty feet (60’) wide may reduce the two (2) side yards by nine inches (9”) for each foot of difference to a total width not less than fourteen feet (14’). Under such circumstances, the width of the narrower of the two (2) side yards shall not be less than five feet (5’).”

A Public Hearing in connection with the petition shall be held at City Hall, 70 East Main Street on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. o’clock, and all interested parties may appear and be heard.
