Planned Water Outage at S. Kanawha – Park St. Area -RESCHEDULED for Feb. 12

BUCKHANNON WATER DEPARTMENT

UPDATE, Feb. 11, 2020: This repair has been rescheduled and should be able to commence tomorrow morning, Wednesday, February 12, at 8:30 a.m., weather permitting. Area residents may experience low pressure and/or discolored water during the repair.

Originally published Feb. 5, 2020:

A planned water service interruption is scheduled for Monday, February 10, 2020, starting at 8:30 a.m. on S. Kanawha Street and Park Street for Buckhannon Water Department staff to make repairs to a leaking valve.

Residents and businesses on S. Kanawha Street from the intersection with Madison Street to the Smoker Friendly, as well as some residents on Park Street, may experience low pressure and/or discolored water during the repair. The Water Department will flush the lines following the repair.

If the weather prevents the work on Monday, the repair would occur on Tuesday instead (weather permitting).

Customers in the area in red may experience low pressure and/or discolored water during the water line gate valve repair scheduled for Monday, February 10, 2020.
