Road Repairs And Traffic Delays Announced For In And Around Buckhannon

BUCKHANNON, WV:  The City of Buckhannon has been notified that beginning this evening, crews will be repairing and patching West Main between the Old Weston Road overpass and Route 20. Traffic will be down to one lane in that area. Traffic control will be in place; however, travel in that area is discouraged.  Here is the complete schedule for road repairs that we have received.

Thursday, June 27, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. tomorrow—Crews will be repairing and patching West Main between the Old Weston Road overpass and Route 20. Traffic will be down to one lane in that area. Traffic control will be in place; however, travel in that area is discouraged.

Sunday, June 30, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday—Crews will be patching Main Street from Route 20 to City Hall. There will be no parking on Main Street during that time. Cars must be moved by 5:30 p.m. each evening, and any remaining cars will be towed as necessary.

Monday, July 1, through Wednesday, July 3, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. each day —Crews will be milling Main Street from the Old Weston Road overpass/railroad tracks to City Hall. There will be no parking on Main Street during that time. Cars must be moved by 5:30 p.m. each evening. The remaining cars will be towed as necessary.

Sunday, July 7, through Thursday, July 11, 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. each day—Crews will be paving Main Street from the Old Weston Road overpass/railroad tracks. There will be no parking on Main Street during that time. Cars will need to be moved by 5:30 p.m. each evening. The remaining cars will be towed as necessary.
