BUCKHANNON, WV — July 31, 2026 – City, County, and State partners are providing the following updated information for residents and volunteers supporting ongoing flood‑recovery operations.
· Update #1 – Need Assistance or want to Volunteer?
Request or Volunteer in Person: A referral management trailer—provided by Hope Gas and Miller Pipeline—has been established at the Lewis County Distribution Center in Weston (Market Place Plaza). Staff members are processing assistance requests submitted in person and coordinating volunteer intake.

· Update #2 – American Red Cross
Extended Casework Dates – Casework for residents whose homes sustained major damage or were destroyed will continue through the weekend and into Monday.
Saturday through Monday: 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Location: West Virginia Wesleyan College Library
Residents should contact the American Red Cross as soon as possible to ensure timely processing and support.
