BUCKHANNON, WV: Weather Notification received from the Upshur County DHSEM as of Sunday, December 10th, 2023 at 3:47 AM.

The National Weather Service office in Charleston, West Virginia has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 7:00 PM Sunday (12/10/23) until 1:00 PM Monday (12/11/23) for the City of Buckhannon, and all of Upshur County.

* Total snow accumulation: 1 to 4 inches.

* IMPACTS… Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS… Wet conditions today could lead to a light glaze of ice beneath the snow once temperatures fall below freezing tonight.

* AFFECTED AREAS: UPSHUR, BARBOUR, SOUTHEASTERN RALEIGH, SOUTHEASTERN FAYETTE, NORTHWESTERN NICHOLAS, SOUTHEASTERN NICHOLAS, NORTHWESTERN WEBSTER, and NORTHWESTERN RANDOLPH COUNTIES
