Winter Wagon Rides are Back!

December 2, 2019

BUCKHANNON, WV: Festive, tractor-pulled wagons will roll through the streets of Buckhannon again this year from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on the first three Saturdays in December. Come out for a ride and vote on the best lights and holiday decor!

Before your wagon departs, be sure to visit with Santa and take your child’s photo in the sleigh! Grab a cuppa hot chocolate or coffee (available for sale at the park) and bring your blankets for a cozy ride.

Residents, please decorate and light up your homes and lawns to show some holiday cheer. We will be scouting our routes each week, looking for the brightest and cheeriest displays. After each Saturday, we will be announcing the riders’ choice awards on our website and social media.

The wagons will be departing from Jawbone Park on Saturday, December 7, and on Saturday, December 21. On Saturday, December 14, the wagons will leave from the Salvation Army Parking Lot on North Spring Street in conjunction with the Adventure in Toyland event hosted by Buckhannon Upshur Retail Merchant Association (BURMA).

Kids ride free and all are welcome. We appreciate a donation toward the Zach Post Memorial Food Drive if you are able to provide one. If you have special needs, please call Buckhannon City Hall at (304) 472-1651 during regular business hours in advance of your planned outing so that we may accommodate you.
